Private Beach Experience in Curaçao

You might not realize it yet, but being on a beach that is all for yourself is probably the most exclusive feeling there is. We got to experience it last week Wednesday at Landhuis San Nicolas.

 

Curaçao has quite a lot of “landhuizen,” but only some come with beach access & Landhuis San Nicolas is the only one on the island that offers a private beach experience.

Landhuis San Nicolas is located on the Westcoast of the island, right after the neighborhood of Soto. Before your planned arrival, Willemijn (your hostess), will send you the location and a special code for the gate. You’ll first arrive at the Landhuis, which overlooks the bay of Santa Martha and the salt flats. Here, you are received by Willemijn who will give a tour of the Landhuis and teach you all about its history. Once you walk around the Landhuis, you’ll get a first glimpse of the ocean view where you’ll be spending the rest of the day.

From here, you’ll receive the main course of your picknick and are off to go to the private beach!

As soon as you walk down the stairs and arrive onto the beach, you’ll be mesmerized at first glance. With two luxury beach beds in the shade, a picknick table, and cool boxes filled with goodies, you just know you’ve made the right choice. We just had a very busy week with quick deadlines, multiple shooting days, and short nights. As soon as we arrived and noticed we did not have signal, our stress just faded away.

We could just relax, enjoy the scenery, and get creative!

This experience is something you have to experience for yourself to fully understand just how special it is. There is just something about having a beach all by yourself. Mixed with delicious food, drinks, and the pelicans flying around, it’s something we would recommend everyone to try out.

For us, this was the ultimate relaxation and we’ll definitely be back.
