Behind the Lens
Influence Through the Lens was founded on the island of Curaçao by Juan Baiz & Ashley Nadesh. Although we grew up on the island for the most part of our childhood, it was never our intention to stay here for long after our studies in The Netherlands. COVID changed that, as it changed many plans for all of us. With COVID forcing us to stay on the island, we did not want to just sit back and do nothing. So, we did what we always loved to do. Capture the experience. While it was allowed, we toured the island, shot photos, and started getting requests to photograph for other people as well. Naturally, Influence Through the Lens was born.
Where it all started
Ashley Nadesh has always had a travel bug and during our studies in The Netherlands, we found out just how easy it is to travel around Europe. After exploring some beautiful spots, it did not take long for us to realize that traveling to Asia sounded very realistic. After Juan’s internship, he invested everything he earned into our first official camera. A Sony A7. And it came with us as we traveled Thailand and Bali. This was where our passion for photography and social media truly started. Juan spent hours on YouTube, following big photographers on Instagram, and learning everything he could about photography and editing. Ashley has always loved photography and quickly learned more in depth together with Juan, while also taking courses on Social Media Management.
We had found our passion.
What to expect
The last year we have worked hard to bring Influence Through the Lens to where it is today and we are so excited for what is to come. Our passion for travel will always be integral to who we are and constantly inspires our work. With this blog, we will combine our travels with our work and take you behind the scenes!
We will take you along on our trips, share tips on the places we visited & also tips on photography and videography! You can expect Ashley to be writing about travel tips, best photo spots, and showing some behind the scenes of our photoshoots. And you can expect Juan to be writing about photography tips, our gear, and of course his passion for automotive photography!
