Hello Again!
So, life clearly got in the way of our weekly post routine - and maybe we got a bit overexcited trying to put up a new blog post every week. In between life circumstances and the daily tasks of running a business, we just did not have the headspace or time to continue our self-imposed blog schedule. But, we are slowly getting back into routine and want to get back to writing these blog posts!
Let’s try this again.

Just maybe, a blog post every 2 weeks…
Looking Back Series
We completely skipped April, May, and June. But, we’ve really enjoyed our looking back series so let’s just start with April.
We expected April to be a relatively light month, but as often happens, it filled up pretty quickly. The first week started with an engagement photoshoot and a 2-day wedding (which we unfortunately cannot show because they wanted to keep it private - but it was so beautiful!). The second week, together with our intern, we mainly focused on our monthly clients - planning & executing photoshoots, moodboarding, and coming up with new inspiration. We had a photoshoot for 8 The Experience, BKLYN, and were asked to be models for a shoot at Baoase!
The rest of the month we had meetings for upcoming projects, shot a shot a video for Citizens Insurance’s new location in Sambil, a video for a new listing of Coral & Coco, and also shot another wedding! We also captured the new menu for Sal The Kitchen and had a content shoot for Caleo and Van Gogh Coffees.
May
May started right away with a content shoot at Salu, the restaurant located inside of Chogogo Resort. Here we focused mainly on food shots and some experience shots! Besides working for our clients, we also love to be a part of their experience and joined Sal The Kitchen for their Sea To Table event, which was amazing!
The second week of May we had two weddings so we mainly focused on those and recovered a bit the week after. In general, wedding days are very intensive and there is a lot of content to process afterwards. But, the resting did not last very long as we had a shoot to promote Mood’s Brunch Up and a content shoot with HBN Law together with Social Lemons. This was a very fun shoot! We also captured the 5-year anniversary for Wildeman & Legal and signed new contracts for a new client! This means that we had to do a lot of preparation work, mood-boarding, and planning for new content.
The end of May we had a photoshoot for Niffo Huts together with Zeb Marketing, Coral Estate Luxury Resort, and GAC - as part of Select Automotive. Juan loves capturing cars, so this was a great way for him to tap into his creativity!
June
June started with lots of organizing, getting all the content sorted that we had shot the weeks before on our hard drives and splitting the editing work. I (Ashley) had a trip planned to The Netherlands - my cousin was graduating from her PHD and I really wanted to be there for it. In general Juan and I each edit specific projects, so we had to make sure that those were on our hard drives and the deadlines were set. In general, when we go on a trip/vacation/holiday, we are never fully disconnected - there is always work that we take with us!
But! The first weekend of June, we both took it easy so I could be with family and Juan could also rest after a few busy weeks. After that it was right back to it and Juan had a real estate shoot & a shoot with Uptown and I had a fun shoot planned with HBN Law in Den Haag together with Social Lemons! It was the first time I was shooting without Juan, so I was a bit nervous, but together with the team of Social Lemons it worked out perfectly.
When I got back, we had a quite a few photoshoots lined up, one with Social Lemons for Superhouse Caribbean, new content for Van Gogh Coffees, a content shoot for MosaCaña, and a civil wedding! Lots of different types of shoots, but that’s exactly what we love.

Looking Ahead
So this post turned out a bit longer than planned, but it was also a bit difficult summarizing 3 months of our work into one blog post! We love it when we’re busy, but that also means less time for our website, blog, social media, and everything that connects us with you guys. We want to make sure to also keep making time to take you behind the scenes with us.
As always, thank you so much for making it until here, we appreciate all of you following our journey
Wishing you all the best,
Juan & Ashley
